My heart is sore
It's wracked with fear
My tongue is dry
I'm close to tears
My body shakes
My knees go weak
My eyes are wide
I bite my cheek
I should have listened
I should have cared
I am exposed
My soul is bared
My breath is quick
And my heart beats fast
Then I realise,
This, too, will pass.
I wrote this last night, I have a meeting to go to tomorrow morning and the last one I was at was very intimidating so I was terrified, then I read a book with a story in it about a king who worried all the time and was given a gift of a ring with the inscription 'This, too, will pass' on it. Reading it made me feel better because now I realise that by half 9 tomorrow morning, it will be over! woot woot!
